1.In the app
- 1Open Pensibly on your device.
- 2In the library, tap Profile (Perfil, the person icon).
- 3Go to Account (Cuenta) and tap “Delete account” (Eliminar cuenta).
- 4Confirm. If asked, verify your identity again with Sign in with Apple.
2.Delete a Cloud copy without deleting your account
- 1Open Profile (Perfil) and go to Account (Cuenta). Sign in if you have not already.
- 2Open Pensibly Cloud to see your backups.
- 3Tap Delete (Eliminar) on the copy you want to remove. For an earlier version, tap View history (Ver historial), then Delete on that version.
- 4In the Delete this copy dialog (Eliminar esta copia), confirm with Delete (Eliminar).
This deletes only that version from Pensibly Cloud and the note files it contains. It does not delete your account or the note on this device. Other copies keep their existing retention periods. This action manages a manual backup; it does not delete the note from the synced Plus or Pro library. If that copy is still used by sync, the app may ask you to wait for a newer sync. If you delete the current copy and an earlier version is available, that version becomes the current one.
3.What gets deleted
- Your account and profile data (Apple or Google identifier, name and email, depending on your sign-in method).
- All your Pensibly Cloud backups, synced library data (notes and folders) and version history.
- Your AI usage history and any results stored on our servers.
- Google Play purchase credentials stored to verify your subscription.
- If you used Apple, its connection: we revoke Pensibly’s access to your Apple Account. If you used email, we erase the password verifier and pending links.
4.What isn’t deleted
- Notes stored on your device. They stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app. To keep them, export them as PDF first.
- Your subscription. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it. To stop renewal, cancel it in Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions, depending on where you purchased it.
- Minimal App Store and Google Play purchase records and their pseudonymous ownership binding to verify and restore subscriptions, prevent another account from claiming them and meet legal obligations.
5.Timeline
Once the process completes, your account and data are removed from our active systems. Providers’ technical backups follow their own retention policies. Deletion is permanent: we can’t restore a deleted account.
6.If you can’t use the app
Email support@pensibly.com from the address linked to your account (if you used “Hide My Email”, write from your Apple Account email and tell us the relay address). We’ll verify the account is yours and delete it within 30 days.
